It is often said that if you doesn’t challenge you it doesn’t change you. That can be true for your body as well as your life.
Gains in fitness and in life are made when you reach outside your comfort zone into places you have never gone before. Have you ever approached a pool for the first time, dipping your toe to test the temperature before jumping in?
To improve your health, your fitness and your life you need to reach a toe out and test uncharted waters. You may have to reach out a few times to get comfortable with the temperature. But once you do, you will find yourself jumping into places you only imagined before.
So let’s test those waters shall we? For the next 2 weeks I challenge you to start reaching outside your comfort zone, whether it be in the gym or in life. Dip a toe into those uncomfortable waters.
Get used to what is uncomfortable and see how you can expand your world. Go ahead. Choose the next weight up for that exercise. Do that extra rep at the end of a set. Try that healthy recipe you saw on Pinterest. Say hi to neighbor you always pass by on the sidewalk. The possibilities are endless!
